About Sonz

Sonz is a first-generation mixed media artist and co-owner of JAMM Gallery in NJ. A Jersey native, she is deeply connected to her roots and inspired by the natural world, drawing on an intuitive, spiritual approach to her creative process. Her artwork is grounded in the belief that creation is a deeply personal, yet universal, experience. This grounding allows her to blend intricate details with vibrant, expressive color, inviting viewers into a space of both introspection and connection.

As a self-taught artist, Sonz’s journey has been shaped by an ongoing exploration of her own intuitive abilities and the ways in which art can act as a conduit for deeper understanding. This process has led to numerous opportunities, including over 60 art markets and exhibitions since January 2024, allowing her to connect with like-minded artists and creatives.

Sonz’s spiritual approach to art-making has helped her navigate the challenges of running a gallery while maintaining a commitment to personal and collective growth. It has also led her to embrace her role as a mentor within her community, offering guidance to others who are on their own creative journeys. For Sonz, the act of creation is a form of grounding—a way to connect to something bigger than herself and share that connection with the world.
